St. Elizabeth’s 7th grade Social Studies class began a study of the American Industrial Revolution with some good old-fashioned hand sewing. Each student began with 2 pieces of material, a needle, thread, and stuffing. The students decided to add some catnip and create toys for cats at the shelters.
Three students, accompanied by Mrs. Morgan, took the finished donations to the shelter at Petco. As you can see in the pictures (in the photo gallery) our friend “Snookie” really enjoyed her toys. The toys were donated to the Petco shelter. They will use some of them in their store and give others to the Humane Society shelters for their homeless pets. Petco thanked us for the nice gesture.
