The study of dinosaurs is always filled with amazement and excitement for the second grade students at Saint Elizabeth Elementary School. The children enjoyed reading and giving interesting facts about the many dinosaurs they studied in class. They each did a short report with five of the most interesting facts about one of the dinosaurs Ms. Maresch assigned to them. In addition, they added a geometric drawing of their dinosaur.
From the information they researched the children created a dinosaur of their own. In the report they had to have the name of the dinosaur, its size, what it liked to eat, where it lived, and a special interesting feature. They used a salt dough to create their own imagination dinosaur. These dinosaurs were made during science class. Once the dinosaur dried it was painted. Some children made their dinosaur in their habitat.
The dinosaurs and information reports were on display during Catholic Schools Week for everyone to enjoy. The children did a fantastic job creating interesting and awesome dinosaurs. Congratulations to the second grade students for a job well done!
